An Old Voice from the World’s Billion Years of Silence

I arise–
to control what controls!
I will rise an ancient beyond names,
Eternity gathered in one breath–
to shelter the last light.

No darkness.
No more blades of grief.
Failure, depart!

Open, life’s window of hope–
and let the earth drink light
from heaven.
