Hope

English
1‘Hope’ is the thing with feathers—
That perches in the soul—
And sings the tune without the words—
And never stops—at all—
And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard—
And sore must be the storm—
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm—
I’ve heard it in the chillest land—
And on the strangest Sea—
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb—of Me.

French

Ere the wound of life opened,
Life was seven–and
Eden one.

The Unmeasurable

The Sovereign
On Your Davidic Throne high,
In You is hidden the Hidden
Mystery of mystery,
The history of mystery,
The mystery of history,
And the
History of histories.

IN A BRIGHT NIGHT

Imust be old to know who is older.
But I was young to know Who is ageless,
Whose sunrise marks a turning point in the universe,
Who kindles cold candles,
Striding in no striving stresses above all critical Critiques.
It will be too late to be late: for,

Known as Unknown.

Older than eternity,
His past is our future!
Too real to be believed!
Too mysterious to be doubted!
And too good to be accepted!
The most controversial entity among the dead living,
